What is E-GEAR system used in gallardo and enzo and astonmartin?

IF u have any website please give it to me. plz tell me the detail on how it works etc. etc.|||The E-Gear is Lambroghini's SMG, or Sequential Manual Gearbox.

These type of transmissions uses a hydraulically controlled clutch that the computer applies according to how much throttle is given, and when a shift is called for, the computer uses actuators to perform the gear shift, shifting to either higher or lower gears. The shifts are initiated by the driver using paddles that are provided in the car. This tells the computer to either up-shift or down-shift.

Ferrari uses what they call their F1 gear-box, which is the same principle as the E-Gear.

Aston Martin on the other hand uses a ZF-6 speed gear box. This is an automatic transmission that has a manual shift over-ride. This is known as an manumatic gear box.

The difference between the SMG and the manumatics is that the Manumatic is an automatic transmission with an over-ride program that locks the transmissione in first gear, and allows the driver to control the shifts through electronically controlled valves in the trans valve body, the valves being what control shift points. This is the most common type of transmission between the two types, as it takes very little amount of research and developement to get the transmission to work properly in both automatic and manual modes.

The SMG is a manual gearbox that has a computer-controlled applied clutch and gear selection. The driver still needs to shift the gears themselves by either using the paddles, or whatever is used in the car. This transmission also as an automatic over-ride where the computer takes over and does it all itself. This is more difficult to get right as the computer usually get's a little flustered in automatic mode and usually pulls off the firmest shifts possible, making for an uncomfortable ride.
