Will Enzo Calzaghe let his son fight Kelly Pavlik after how he enialated Gary Lockett and can Joe win?

As of now Enzo's fragile camp of mediocre fighters is held up by his one and only champion,Joe,and they all know that if he fights Kelly he will be stopped and the myths of Enzo and Joe destroyed, cant wait to see that, but as mentioned he'll go for an 'easier'option by fighting aged Roy Jones, make me sick that lot!!!!|||As a Pavlik fan, I'm going to be honest. Joe C gives Kelly hell. Joe C moves so well and his hands are faster. He is the worst guy for KP to face. Plus the weight difference. I'd prefer that KP has a fight at 168 before facing Calzaghe(I know KP has fought there before but he is best at 160 right now). Let KP take out Abraham then maybe go after Calzaghe. Of course Kelly has a puncher's chance but Cal's work rate and speed might prove to be too much.|||Okay, you can't compare how a fighter's going to fare with another simply because he shares the same trainer with another fighter. Many elite trainers have failed miserably with fighters so that's not a measuring stick. Styles make fights. I actually like both fighters, Pavlik and Calzaghe, so if they were to fight today, I'd pick Calzaghe on points. Pavlik just doesn't have the skills at this point in his career to cope with Calzaghe, it'll be competitive for 5 rounds after that it's going to be a lopsided clinic from Calzaghe. Now if the fight is a few years down the road and Pavlik continues to improve his boxing skills as he has in his past two fights, then I could see Pavlik scrounging out a decision win or a late stoppage.|||It would end the same way tonight's fight did. No one can beat Pavlik right now. He is THE dominant fighter in boxing.|||Calz has no chance. This was a trap fight, and Pavlik came through as he should. No way Calz can beat Pavlik. Pavlik is too professional, he'll approach a fight with Calz the same way Calz did with BHop: move your hands more than your opponent and wear him down. That southpaw style is more of a headache for classic boxers than it is for a pressure fighter like Pavlik. If anything, it will open Calz up for Pav's big right, KABOOM!, sleepy time for the Welshie.|||Hmmm... moves great, better speed better work rate....

I have heard all of these before of a Pavlik opponent- one named Jermaine Taylor.

Not only did Pavlik destroy Taylor, he moved up in weight and beat Taylor at Taylor's game.

If Joe C can't do better than a SD against BHop, how is he even competitive with Pavlik?

The size IS an issue... sure...but not much of one. Pavlik would KO JC, and JC knows it, Enzo knows it.

JC won't fight pavlik.

JC can't beat pavlik.

EDIT: I might not know much about boxing, but I do know the difference between a knockdown and a knockout. Taylor did NOT knockout Pavlik in the second round, but Pavlik did KO Taylor in the 7th. Tired or not, Taylor had a contract to fight 12 rounds. If he was gassed 5+ rounds before the fight was over- to me that is destroyed. Pavlik won, and convincingly. Before the fight I thought JT would have an easy fight, and when I saw Pavlik on the canvas in the second round, again I thought it was an easy night for JT- the next 5 rounds changed told a different story. Had JT been able to fight all 12 rounds he signed up for, I'd say he wasn't destroyed. But he didn't...|||the best middleweight fighters in the world are kelly and taylor in my opinion... taylor doesn't look like he wants to fight any more for some reason but pavlik will probably destroy whoever they put in front of him including duddy... the guy that answered before knows crap about boxing b/c pavlik didn't destroy taylor in any of the two matches they had. in the first match taylor knocked him out in the 2nd round and almost won that fight that same round but he got tired only to run out of wind in the 7th and getting knockdown at which point he was too tired to continue the fight. in the second fight the fight was even in many of the magazines that cover the sport including espn... and the judges called it about even too except for one judge who was on crack and called it 117-111 if i remember correctly. besides the only good punch that pavlik landed on him the entire fight was in the 11th when taylor was on the ropes (body shot) that taylor obviously felt.|||yes and yes|||That fight would be a risk factor for Calazaghe and he will not take it. A high risk and high reward fight. Pavlik will try his damnist to make this fight happen because he need a hall of famer on his list and right now two options are Roy Jones Jr. or Joe Calzaghe. It appears the two old vets will fight each other, retire, and avoid the hard punching Pavlik.|||someone needs to explain to kirk k and jam that joe calzaghe is one of the most overated fighters today.everyone knows that the WBO title that calzaghe held on to for so many years is a second rate title.he never tried to move up towards the bigger titles until all the champs got older.he wouldn't fight roy jones jr,he wouldn't fight Antonio Tarver,he wouldn't fight james toney when he was a middle weight, and he wouldn't fight a young bernard hopkins. All he would do is sit in his super middle weight class and defend that stupid title.he wouldn't come to the U.S.A.did you know that the first time he came to america was the hopkins fight.he is is a wimp and this last fight that pavlik won is scaring the hell out of Enzo and Joe calzaghe becuase they are finally in a carner that they can't run out of.

the Calzaghe camp knows that if they refuse to fight pavlik then he will have to fight roy jones jr and i'm sorry but roy can still destroy calzaghe.roy is old but he is still a very talented fighter hell calzaghe almost got ko'd by a 43 year old has been hopkins and he knows pavlik is a really good fighter that would knock him out.

the calzaghe camp is scared
