How is possible that Maclaren F1 is Faster than Ferrari Enzo?

Both of them have V12 Engine ok MAclaren F1 have BWM power engine but its still V12 Ferrari Enzo also Have V12 engine but more powerful that Maclaren F1 i mean Maclaren F1 only have 627 bhp When Ferrari Enzo 650bhp still Maclaren F1 do 240mph and Enzo only 217mph can you explain me why i know its technician matter and fisics|||In contrast to raw engine power, a car's power-to-weight ratio is a better method of quantifying acceleration performance than the peak output of the vehicle's powerplant. The standard F1 achieves 550 hp/ton (403 kW/tonne), or just 3.6 lb/hp. Compare with the Ferrari Enzo at 434 hp/ton (314 kW/tonne) (4.6 lb/hp),

Remember, the Enzo weighs about 225kg more than the F1. Also remember that they were designed with 2 different targets in mind. The F1 was to be the fastest top speed car in the world (which it held on to for a number of years). While the Enzo was designed to do what Ferrari do best, go very qucik around a track.|||the weight of the car makes a big difference and also aerodynamics

the Maclaren was built for one thing and that was to be the fasted road going car so the gearing was set up for top end speed, while the enzo wasn't,, if you changed the gear ratio on the enzo it would go faster but it would loose some of its drive-ability
